Monaco Grand Prix Preview

From a betting point of view there seems to be a bit of value around in this race. In the past there has been some surprise results at Monaco and given performances so far this season it would be a bit of a shock if Hamilton and McLaren were to win.

The reigning champ is 8/1 (Stan James) to win the race and he could be a bit of value. His team mate Heikki Kovalainen is 7/2 (Paddypower) to finish in the top six and that looks possible if he can transfer his first practice times into the race itself.

Mark Webber has lots of experience and that’s always a plus around the Monaco circuit. At 14/1 (William Hill) Webber looks a really attractive betting proposition and if he can get a place near the front of the grid we believe he can be a potential winner at a big price.

Williams normally get the cars set up right for the street circuits where all out speed isn’t the main factor and with Rosberg in pole after the second practice session we wouldn’t be surprised to see them go well in the actual race.

Rosberg is still available at 40/1 (Sportingbet) to win the race and a small stake at that price looks worthwhile. The 11/1 (Skybet) about Rosberg making the podium is a bet we will definitely be on.
