Football Tips-Manchester United to win Derby

Premier League

The Manchester derby is always fiercely contested and we don't expect this one to be any different. United have only dropped four points at home this season and even though City visit Old Trafford on the back of three consecutive league wins, their away form this season has been poor and we can't see them taking anything from United.

We're going for the home win for United at 4/11 and we're tipping a 2-0 correct score 9/2.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea will have to overcome the disappointment of midweek Champions League semi final losses when they face each other at the Emirates. We feel that emotions may still be running high in this game and we expect a pretty feisty encounter. Arsenal are unbeaten in 10 in the league at the Emirates and we wouldn't be surprised to see them bounce back from their Euro defeat with a win 6/4.

Bolton look one of the best bets of the weekend at 23/20 we can't see them losing to Sunderland who have looked awful in their last few games. We're predicting a comfortable afternoon for Bolton and we're going to take them to keep a clean sheet 13/10 in a 2-0 win 15/2. Johan Elmander 6/1 is our selection to be first goalscorer.

A win for Blackburn against Portsmouth would probably be enough to see them safe. The are unbeaten in four at home and are a decent price at Evens to get the win. A bet on the 2-0 correct score 15/2 could pay dividends

Could West Brom get another home win against Wigan who have lost their last two on the road? The short answer is NO!! There's going to be no miracle escape for the Baggies this season. We're taking Wigan to win at 2/1.

Liverpool are unbeaten in eight and normally do okay against West Ham. We can see goals in this game and think a bet on the over 2 goals at 8/11 is a banker. The Liverpool win odds are 8/15 and while they may be not too attractive a price they have to be included in accumulators or multiple bets. Yossi Benayoun has scored five goals in his last six starts and he's worth backing at 9/1 to be first goalscorer and at 10/3 to score anytime against his old club.

Our prediction is a 3-0 Liverpool win 10/1

We're going to select draws in the Hull v Stoke match 11/5 and the Everton v Spurs match 11/5

Fulham can get a home win against an Aston Villa side who have looked jaded for weeks now. Bet Fulham's Clint Dempsey to be first goalscorer 9/1

Scotland

The Old Firm clash between Rangers and Celtic is being billed as the title decider ( aren't they always) and the bookmakers have Rangers as favourites at 13/10 with Celtic not far behind at 21/10. A draw wouldn't be a disaster for Celtic and at odds of 23/10 is worth some consideration. We're going to stick our necks out a bit here and go for a win for Celtic.

Their forwards have come back into goalscoring form at just the right time after a lean spell and we're going to have abet on a 2-1 win for Celtic 11/1. Jan Vennegoor 8/1 is our tip to be first goalscorer.

St Mirren still haven't won at their new stadium yet and they could still be waiting after their match with Motherwell. This looks a likely draw 11/5 and it could easily finish 0-0 17/2
