Wimbledon Fourth Round Match Betting Tips

As Wimbledon goes into its second week we bring you a couple of bets from the matches today that we hope will net you a profit.

In the men’s championship we can see Roger Federer maybe dropping a set to Robin Solderling and we’re going for a 3- 1 result in this match at odds of 3/1 (VCBet).

Andy Murray can stay on course for the final by beating Stanislav Wawrinka. Murray has won four of the last five meetings between the two players and won in straight sets at the US Open last year. We can see Murray winning this in straight sets 4/9 (William Hill). The no tie break in the match at Evens (Betfair) also looks a bet worth a punt.

Giles Simon has never made it beyond the fourth round at Wimbledon and he looks worth opposing in his match against Juan Carlos Ferrero. The Spaniard is odds on at 5/6 (William Hill) to win, but this looks a decent price to us. This should be a close match and we’re tipping it to go to five sets 2/1 (Skybet).

A small stake on Ferrero to win 3-2 at 11/2 (Betfred) could give a return. With the match likely to be very tight we’re tipping the match to have two or more tie breaks at 16/5 (William Hill).

In the women’s matches today we’re taking Amelie Mauresmo to upset world number One Darina Safina. Despite being ranked number one Safina has never won a Grand Slam event and with Mauresmo having such a great Wimbledon record-Champion in 2006 and 3 further semi final appearances-she looks worth backing at 6/4 (Bet365).

Mauresmo leads 4-2 in the six meetings between the two players and with her experience on grass we think she is worth betting to win 2-0 7/2 (Stan James).

We’re also going to go for the underdog in the match between Virginie Razzano and Fransesca Schiavone. Razzano is 8/13 (888Sport) to win the match mainly due to the good form she has shown on grass both here and at Eastbourne, but in head to head meetings Schiavone leads 3-0 and at 11/8 (Stan James) it could pay to side with her to maintain her dominance.

We’re tipping a 2-1 win for Schiavone 4/1 (Sportingbet).
