League Winners Football Accumulator

We know a lot of people like to have a bet on who will win the Premier League title as well as place multiple bets on other leagues to hopefully land a big payout for a small stake. We’ve looked at the major leagues in Britain and hopefully our notes and advice can help you choose your selections

Premier League

Forget about anyone breaking into the top four this is down to the four big teams again and your pick should come from one of them. We think the title will be a close affair this season and so do the bookmakers. Manchester United have lost Ronaldo and Tevez and do look weaker than they were last season, and they are a best price of 5/2 (Ladbrokes) to win the title. Chelsea are slight favourites at 2/1 (Betfred) but we feel their priority may well be the Champions league and if there were to be a choice later in the season the Blues might well put all their resources into Europe.

Arsenal have made no big name signings and have lost a coupe of senior players. Their young talented squad players may well have to step up to the plate this season and we think they could fall just short of being real title challengers. At 10/1 (Ladbrokes) they could be worth sticking in as each/way choices in an each/way accumulator.

Our tip to win the Premier League is Liverpool 4/1 (Betfred). They showed last term that they can sustain a serious challenge over the course of the season and despite losing Alonso they look to have a real chance of winning the title.

The Championship

Al three relegated teams from the Premiership last season Newcastle 7/1 (Bet365), West Brom 6/1 (Stan James) and Middlesbrough 37/5 (Betfair) appear to have every chance of coming straight back up. Cardiff 14/1 (Betfred) have a decent squad and could be worth an each/way. Newly promoted Leicester City are our longshot bet here and could be worth backing each/way at odds of 22/1 (Coral).

Our Pick to win the Championship is West Brom. They’ve been here before and know what it takes to get out of this division.

League One

Leeds United were surprisingly beaten by Millwall in the play offs last season but we don’t think they will make any mistakes this time and we think they justify favouritism at 11/4 (Totesport). Southend look overpriced at 40/1 (Ladbrokes) and could be worth a small stake each/way. Tranmere 50/1 (Betfair) also look too big a price. They just failed to make the play offs last season and look as if they could maybe sneak a promotion place this season. Orient 40/1 (Coral) are an improving side and it wouldn’t surprise us at all to see them near the top of the league come the end of the season.

Our pick Leeds United. Look to have the strongest squad and if they can keep hold of Jermaine Beckford should lift the title.

League Two

All the smart money has gone on Notts County to win the league. New investors, the arrival of Sven… it all looks good. They do look a bit short a price at 11/4 (888sport) to win the title however. Money does speak volumes at this level of football and they have to be respected, but they did finish 16th last season and turning that into a title winning team may be even beyond Sven and Co.

Rotherham would have been right up there last season if it wasn’t for a points deduction imposed on them. At 7/1 (Bluesq) they look decent value and we can see them doing well. Bournemouth 14/1 (Paddypower) are another team who finished off well last season and can be involved in the shake up this term.

Our dark horses here are Crewe 28/1 (Skybet) They will no doubt find new talent as they always seem to do and back in the bottom flight they may well find things a little easier. If they get on a winning run they could be a surprise package.

We’re taking Rotherham to pip moneybags Notts County to the title in League Two.

SPL

Will it be Celtic or will it be Rangers? One thing’s for sure it won’t be anybody else.
Rangers Evens (Betfred) haven’t made any new signings and money is extremely tight at Ibrox. They may need to sell to get quality into the club in the January window if they trail in the league.

Celtic 5/6 (Skybet) appear to have some money and that may be a help in their title challenge. They do have a new manager who may need time to bed in new players and systems and we can see them being inconsistent because of that.

Our pick is going to be Rangers. They haven’t changed their team or playing style and should hit the ground running and this could just give them a vital edge.
